Mobile Bar & Tap Truck

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about hiring Vintage Cocktail for your wedding, corporate event, or private party across NH, ME & MA.

Does Vintage Cocktail hold a liquor license in New Hampshire?

Yes. Vintage Cocktail is fully licensed and insured to sell and serve alcohol in New Hampshire. Our liquor license lets us legally pour beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits at licensed venues throughout NH, and it allows us to purchase directly from distributors so clients get a customizable lineup of local and national brands. For events at private residences, we offer a dry hire package where you supply the alcohol and our licensed bartenders handle the rest. Licensing and insurance are the biggest difference between us and many mobile bar companies, and we're happy to provide documentation for your venue.

What is included in a tap truck rental?

A tap truck or 1968 Chevy tap trailer rental from Vintage Cocktail is a complete, hassle-free bar setup. It includes the vintage vehicle as a centerpiece, a 4–6 tap system serving ice-cold draft beer, cider, seltzer, or signature cocktails at 37°F, professional licensed bartenders, and all the bar supplies — cups, napkins, mixers, juices, and garnishes. We handle setup and breakdown at your venue and can build a custom drink menu, including non-alcoholic options and mocktails. If a truck isn't a fit for your space, our full mobile bar service brings satellite bars and bottled or canned selections instead.

What is the difference between the Dry Hire, Open Bar, and Cash Bar packages?

Dry Hire is our budget-friendly option and starts at $20 per person: you purchase the alcohol and we provide the supplies, equipment, and professional bartenders — ideal for private residences. Open Bar starts at $32 per person; the host covers all drinks and we handle everything, including a custom beer and signature drink selection, so guests never pay. Cash Bar starts at $30 per person, where guests buy their own drinks; we bring cash and cashless point-of-sale and there's a minimum sales requirement, which makes it popular for corporate events. Every package includes our vintage tap truck or trailer and licensed bartending service, and we'll help you choose the right fit when you request a quote.

Does Vintage Cocktail serve events in Maine and Massachusetts?

Yes. While we're based in Goffstown, New Hampshire, we regularly travel to serve weddings and events across Maine and Massachusetts, including Portland, Kennebunkport, the southern Maine coast, Boston, Cape Cod, and the South Shore. Note that liquor licensing rules differ by state: in Maine and Massachusetts our service is typically structured as a dry hire, meaning you provide the alcohol and our licensed, insured bartenders provide the truck, equipment, supplies, and full bar service. Reach out with your event location and we'll confirm exactly how we can serve your area.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak wedding season from late spring through fall, when dates fill quickly. Popular Saturdays in summer and early autumn are often reserved many months ahead. That said, we've accommodated last-minute and short-notice events when our schedule allows, so it's always worth asking. The fastest way to lock in your date is to submit our quick online quote form — it takes less than 30 seconds — and we'll respond with a custom quote, typically within 24 hours.

What is the minimum event size?

Vintage Cocktail serves events of many sizes, from intimate backyard gatherings to weddings of 100 or more guests. We don't publish a strict guest-count minimum because the right setup depends on your event — a Cash Bar package does carry a minimum sales requirement, while Dry Hire and Open Bar are flexible for smaller private parties. The best approach is to tell us your expected guest count and event type in the quote form, and we'll recommend the package and bar configuration that fits.

Can Vintage Cocktail serve at private residences?

Absolutely. Private residence events are one of our most popular settings, and our Dry Hire package is designed specifically for them. Because home addresses aren't licensed venues, you purchase the alcohol and we arrive fully stocked with the tap truck or trailer, bartenders, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and all supplies to run a complete bar. From backyard weddings and milestone birthdays to holiday parties, we bring the full experience to you. Just share your address and event details when you request a quote so we can plan access and setup.

What beverages are available — do you serve cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic options?

We offer a wide, customizable beverage lineup. Our tap systems pour draft beer, hard cider, and seltzer, plus signature cocktails served on tap for fast, consistent pours. Through our distributor relationships we can source popular local and national beer, wine, and liquor brands tailored to your event. We also offer hand-shaken cocktails, mixed drinks, wine, and champagne from our satellite bars. For guests who aren't drinking, we provide a full non-alcoholic menu with signature mocktail options, so everyone at your event is taken care of.

How much does mobile bar service cost in New Hampshire?

Our packages start at $20 per person for Dry Hire, $30 per person for a Cash Bar, and $32 per person for an Open Bar. Your final price depends on factors like guest count, event location and travel distance, the length of service, and your drink menu, so we build a custom quote rather than charging a flat rate. The process is simple and obligation-free — fill out our quote form with your event details and we'll send a personalized estimate, usually within 24 hours. This way you only pay for the setup and service that fits your celebration.

What is a tap truck and how is it different from a mobile bar?

A tap truck is a vintage vehicle — in our case a classic Ford truck and a one-of-a-kind 1968 Chevy tap trailer — converted into a self-contained draft bar with built-in taps that pour beer, cider, seltzer, and cocktails at an ice-cold 37°F. It doubles as a striking centerpiece and photo backdrop. A traditional mobile bar service uses portable satellite bars where bartenders mix and pour drinks by hand. Vintage Cocktail offers both: choose the tap truck or trailer for the visual wow factor, or full mobile bartending when a vehicle isn't the right fit for your space.
